Know a good joke?

Got a joke? Share the fun and post them here!

Here's one to start with:

Australian brain transplant joke

A New Zealander wanted to become an Irishman, so he visited a doctor to find out how to go about this. "Well" said the doctor, "this is a very delicate operation and there is a lot that can go wrong. I will have to remove half your brain". "That's OK" said the New Zealander. "I've always wanted to be Irish and I'm prepared to take the risk".

The operation went ahead but the New Zealander woke to find a look of horror on the face of the doctor. "I'm so terribly sorry!!" the doctor said. "Instead of removing half the brain, I've taken the whole brain out". The patient replied, "No worries, mate!!"

P.S. Hope any Auzzy's or Irish people out there don't mind a little joke!

Why is the Earth's spin slowing, and why is the Moon getting further away?

Its all in the title, virtual chocolate fish to who ever answers correctly first!

Brief, to the point, easy to understand answers only. Don't forget to cite your references.

P.S. Bonus question: Is the Dark side of the moon always dark? Same rules as above.

computer/consul games

My favourite games are PC based Real Time Strategy games (RTS's). I haven't played all of them, but I've got a few. I only play the computer though because when I've tried to play online I just get wasted!! I use to play with friends on a school network(!!!) back in Taumarunui, but I haven't had a chance to in a long time. My favourite game at the moment it Command and Conquer Tiberian wars, this is because its new for me, and the graphics and user interface are pretty cool.

I'm very interested in hearing who else likes computer/consule games, and which are their favourites and why. If I get lots of replies I'll setup a poll to find out which we think is the best! Spread the word.

General comments!

Hey all! Stick any general stuff here.

Care and Respect about food

I believe that everyone who eats meat/fish/chicken etc should know about where it comes from. Most people take their food for granted, and even waste food, but the fact is that in the case of meat, some animal gave its life so that we could eat a tasty chichen sandwich! I think that if you're not prepared to slaughter and butcher your own meat, maybe you shouldn't eat it. That said, I think that if anyone is considering becoming a vegetarian, they need to be particularly careful that all their nutritional needs are met, especially when you're young and growing heaps! (need more protein!).

What do you think? Please justify your answer.
